Parish Events in January

Updated: Jan 2, 2023

There are a number of events taking place in and around church this month. Newcomers are always welcome and, if you weren't able to join in last year, what better time to start than in the New Year!

Sunday 8th January | 6.30pm | Epiphany Carol Service

At the culmination of the Christmas season, we gather back together to mark the wise men's visit to Bethlehem and the moment when the miracle of Jesus' birth was first revealled to the wider world. There will be refreshments after the service, so do bring along some friends for an evening to ward off the January gloom.

Saturday 14th January | Parish Walk | Windsor Great Park

Weather permitting, we will be blowing away the midwinter gloom with a 5 mile walk through Windsor Great Park. The route is paved and easy going, with wonderful views of the castle on the return leg. We will be departing at 9.30am from Waterloo and aim to end with lunch in Windsor. Please sign up in church or get in touch for more information.

Sunday 29th January | Candlemas

At the end of the month, we mark another festival of the winter months - that of Christ's presentation in the Temple. This is a time to fill the church with light and to meditate upon the remarkable witness of Simeon and Anna, which we recall from week to week in the words of the Nunc Dimittis. Please join us for refreshments in church after Evensong, if you can.
