With Lent on its way, I’ve turned to a work I’ve long wanted to read carefully but never got round to . . . so now I shall be inflicting ‘The Pilgrim's Progress from This World, to That Which Is to Come’ (published 1678) on the good people of the two congregations of St Giles. For the weeks of this season I will explore this renowned work in your company and consider where it leaves us today.
