The time for our parish retreat is fast approaching. Thanks to everyone who has signed up so far - there are still some spaces remaining, so please do put your name down if you are intending to come. This is a great opportunity get to know each other better, sharing in meals, walks, prayer and worship.
We will be staying at the wonderful Orthona Community, next to the sea in a remote corner of Essex, which offers peace, comfortable beds and excellent food. It is home to an extraordinary chapel of St-Peter-on-the-Wall, which was founded by St Cedd in 654 and is one of the oldest places of Christian worship in Britain. It will be our honour to join that tradition of worship during our stay.
If you're not sure whether a parish retreat is the thing for you, have a chat to one of the ministry team or track down someone who went on last year's pilgrimage to St Gilles in France - they will be glad to tell you what a wonderful experience of fellowship and friendship a journey together can be.
To sign up for the retreat, please email the parish administrator, Lesley Goddard.
